Ask a Question is a beta feature that Audible is currently testing. The feature enables customers to ask questions about an audiobook in their library while they are listening to it, without leaving the Audible app. It is currently only available to US customers within select public domain titles that have been purchased by the customer or where access to that title is included as part of their Audible membership.

How do I use Ask a Question?

1. Open the Audible app, select the title from your library, and press play to begin listening.
2. On the title’s player screen, tap the ‘Ask a Question’ button. (If the button does not appear, the feature may not be available on that title.)
3. Type your question using the keyboard or dictate your question by selecting the microphone icon.
4. Receive a response generated by AI answering your question.

What questions can I ask?

This feature is designed to answer questions about the current listen which might include questions about the historical context, something that occurred within the story, or a factual reference within the work that the listener would like to know more about. Attempts to use the feature for other purposes will likely lead to disappointing and inaccurate results. What types of titles are included in this beta launch?

The feature is available on a selection of classic titles in Audible’s public domain catalog.
