Amazon Family is a feature that allows you to share Prime benefits and a Family Library with members of your household. Through this feature, you can share your purchased Audible titles with one adult and up to four children. You can learn more about Amazon Family on Amazon’s site.

While Amazon Family does allow you to share your purchased Audible titles between two adult household profiles, you cannot share your Audible Premium Plus membership credits or titles included in the Plus Catalog with the other member of your Amazon Family.

You can set up a Child account within Amazon Family if you are using Audible on Fire Tablet, Kindle or Echo device. If you are using Audible iOS or Android app, as well as Audible website, please create a Kids Profile within Audible.

How can I setup an Amazon Family?

Add an Adult account:

Go to the Amazon Family page on Amazon.
Select Add Adult.
You can either send an email invitation or sign up together to verify your accounts.

Note: If you're sending an email invitation, the other adult will have 14 days to accept the invite. You can manage your invitation from Manage Your Household on Amazon.

Add a Child account:

Go to the Amazon Family page on Amazon.
Select Add a Child.
Enter the Child's name and birthday.
Select Save.

Audible does not support Teen accounts at this time. Audible owned titles can be shared with another adult and up to four children. See where shared titles are available.

How can I share audiobooks in my Amazon Family?

Share titles with an Adult account:

First, you'll need to set up an Adult account then select the content you wish to share.

Go to the Manage Your Content and Devices page on Amazon.
Select the Content tab.
Select Audiobooks.
Select an audiobook you own that you'd like to share from your Library.
Select Add to Library at the top.

Note: With Amazon Family, all household profiles can listen to the same title at the same time without altering the Audible experience.

Share titles with a Child account:

First, you'll need to set up a Child account then select the content you wish to share. You can share titles with a Child account through the Manage Your Content and Devices page on the Parent Dashboard.

Go to the Amazon Parent Dashboard.
Select the Child account you would like to share with.
Select Content from the left navigation.
Select Amazon Content.
Select the Audible tab.
Toggle on all titles that you own and you'd like to share with that child.

Note: Audible's new feature allows kids to listen to titles you choose by creating a Kids Profile on your Audible app.
